Recall the ethics component of the USF Interdisciplinary REU is conducted to educate future technology leaders, such as yourselves, about the complexities of modern engineering practice, in particular, the ethical dilemmas often faced by practitioners seeking a balance amongst public safety, product quality and economic interests. The journal entries and surveys should provide you with an internal and external look at your specific research area and its affects.  You should continually challenge each other to address the “hard” questions pertaining to the ethics surrounding your individual research projects.
